hi all, can someone please advise,
I have a white knight cl847 vented tumble dryer.
the inside of the drum only gets warm on full heat setting.
I have had it apart, every thing else is fine,
vent pipe clear, 240volts at heater,
this is a very basic model, inside pcb, heater, and a few switches.
the heater seems to be hot, but isn’t transferring the heat to the drum.it has sensors apparently,
I think it is fixable, for not a lot of money,
we have had it since 2005 so has done us proud,
seems a waste to bin it,
    thanks guys sam.

The fan often comes adrift, is there a good strong blast of air coming out of the vent hose?

Heater is a double element, one half could have failed. Both elements should be tested for resistance/continuity.

You need to do a continuity test on both elements of the heater. Testing for 240 volts at the heater is not only unnecessary and dangerous but does not prove the heater is working.

Disconnect the power supply and then remove the wires from the heater and test the elements for continuity on the ohms scale. I can’t remember off hand what the readings should be but they should not be open circuit.
