ParticipantI have a customer with a White Knight vented tumble dryer, her belt has snapped and I need to order one for her, however the problem is she is about an hours drive from me, so I would like to go equiped with the belt to save unneccesary travelling. She can not find a model number on the machine but I know from my last visit that it is the type that has 2 Jockey wheels so I would think one of the longer belts.
Anyone got any idea which belt I need.
Cheers

A suggestion only, 1600J3 fits a lot of t/ds from Wht Knt, WHP, Creda, Candy and Lux! and is associated with models which take a pulley. £1.63 as BLT065 from Connect. There are several other belts associated with machines which use a pulley 🙁 . What else do you remember about the machine? I take it it’s full size? How old is it? Does it use the banjo element? Is the back the squarish one? Your brain and memory are the best tools in such situations.
But why the hell can’t she find the model no.? :rolls:
Could she e-mail you a photograph? (Of the machine )

Hello Mike,
Yes it is full size, Banjo element, the dryer I would reckon is around ten years old, the label behind the door has disintegrated and my customer can’t see anything on the back of the machine (She is quite an old dear though, so there may be something on the back that she is missing) The most significant thing that I can remember about her dryer was that it has two belt tensioners, nearly all the other WK dryers I have fixed have had none.

1956J3 is the longest I can find under white knight t/d on Connect. (BLT054).
Next is 1897EJ3 (BLT209). They’re £2 / £3 each. Reckon’ those would give you at least a 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} chance.

Thanks for your help Mike, I got both of those belts, and called out, only to find that the belt was actually ok, the drum had gotten jammed with what I think was a colour catcher :rolls:
Incidentally I checked for model numbers and the rating plate (sticker) was missing from the back and no label behind the door either :hmm:

Was kind of wondering how an old dear would know the belt had snapped unless it had fallen out of an open based machine; in which case I had been going to suggest that she measure its length.
