I have a white night CL43 vented tumble dryer that seems to be giving up on us. Firstly it will no longer start automatically but we have to spin the drum manually then quickly shut the food for it to work/spin? If we just turn the timer on it will just make a ticking noise and eventually smells of burning.
It is now no longer heating as it spins and so the clothes are not actually being dried. Are these two faults fixable or is it time to call it a day and get a new dryer? The machine is about 10 years old and has been quite a good work horse until the last couple of months.
My second question of course is then which is the best new vented tumble dryer to buy? Would it be a sensor vented dryer and which make?
Re: White Night CL43 – fixable or time for a change?
The motor start capacitor will, need changing to get the drum spinning as it should, as for the no heat fault this was caused because the heater has had no air to cool it down due to the motor fault, so if it has a reset button at the back, then that should push in to reset it…
Not certain about this model having a reset, so hopefully someone else can help, you further
