    Hi.

I am in need of help!!

I have a white westinghouse multifunction oven 02-200105 and the letter (A)shows on the display constantly and does not allow me to use the actual oven. I believe that it is in automatic mode, however the oven does not allow me to change it to manual, no matter what I do, including, switching the power off, changing the fuse, switching the oven off through the mains? I am truely stuck as we can not use the oven while it is in (A) mode.

Can anyone help at all please?

It’s some sort of SMEG-built machine, but that’s about all I can find on it. Simple thing to check is that the timer buttons are not sticking through grease build up – beyond that I can only suggest that the timer unit itself is faulty. Expensive……..

Many thanks for that, I will try and give the buttons a good cleaning and see if that will helps.

    Hi again.

I have tried to clean the buttons and put them back in and still no joy, the display just shows the letter (A) on the display. There is no response at all, do you think that I will need to get some one out to either change or repair the timer function of the oven.

    Thanks again.
