    Hi,

Our Appliance shop is going to lanch its website soon. But we’re having trouble finding a delivery company. Nightfrieght prices are too high and expect distribution have said they not taking new customers at moment.

Can anyone recommend a reliable and reasonable priced firm that preferably offers installation and takes old appliance.

    Thanks for help in advance.

    Hi Aligma,

There is little choice and most will involve you holding stock at the delivery company’s warehousing facilities so, it can be expensive on that front alone.

Hi-Way are good and do offer home delivery but will not offer any installation service.

    http://www.hiwayexpress.co.uk/

Sprint will offer installation as well as delivery.

As soon as you go out of the main bulk of England and central Scotland it can get expensive and is often by arrangement.

Expert have a bad rap for damages but I don’t know what they’re like these days since DRL bought them. Trouble with that is that (apart from potential damages) you are also dealing with a direct competitor and allowing them to handle your sales essentially.

Nightfreight I have no experience with.

PJ Hopkinsons also offer a service but I can’t tell you anything about it as we never heard back from them.

For a delivery and install reckon on paying something between £50 and £80 in normal areas but, in some postcodes and off the mainland that will absolutely rocket up.

    HI Kwatt,

    Thanks for your reply.

I have a meeting with HiDistribution sales manager next week. I will enquire about Hi Express with him.

Expert someone recommended to me and was told they part of Tesco?

Which firm is best for small appliances like vacuums, toasters, kettles, etc? We’re currently using parcelmonkey for small appliances under 35kg.

Any of the couriers will do small stuff so long as they’re not on the banned list, i.e. include glass.
