ParticipantToday I tried to obtain the price and availability of a BEKO spare part from their approved trade suppliers SEME. I was told quite matter of factly that to obtain a price as they hadn’t ordered one in over a month would take 7-10 working days and a further 21-28 WORKING days to get it if I then wanted one.
What sort of level of service is that 👿 👿
Electrue, Qualtex, Masterpart all dont recongise the part number so it looks like SEME have me over a barrell.
When I told the customer, well you can guess what he told me to do with the repair and that sounded just a little bit too painful.
So whos the worst suppliers you are forced to deal with?
Regards

Oh the temptation…. 😈
But since no-one else has, yet…
Samsung – lying, delays, no info, exchange machines then refuse returns
LG – as above
Bradshaws – as above, had to go to court to sort that one out!
Candy – Rosieres anyone and try returning warranty returns!
GBDAR – Do they actually keep stock?
Anything Chinese – self-explanatory really
The company now known as Parts Centre, I recall having to use them to get spares for Stoves etc (HRPC or summat) and they were absolutely bloody terrible, one of the most unhelpful bunch of muppets I’ve ever come across. They took in Wash Vac.. hmmm, makes you wonder doesn’t it? 😉
Servis UK – worse that GBDAR… honestly!
Maddocks – just frustrating, never any stock (of the stuff you actually want)
SEME – used them once I think and they left such a memorable impression I never went back, I just sigh when they’re mentioned
Recently AIS has been pretty grim, wrong parts etc., like today we got our second fan element for a call that requires a grill element. Just an example but it’s been getting worse.
As for actual suppliers, well the big two haven’t exactly bowled me over and done much to hack me off over the years so now I only deal with them if I absolutely have to deal with them. Life’s too short for wasting my time on sorting issues out when they cock it up, which they do, lots.
That enough? 😉

Very interesting and informative, especially for a new repair company such as we!! 😯 .
But on the other side of the coin, can anyone whole heartedly recommend a supplier or two?
Cheers.

everyone is falling over themselves to recomend a supplier, so i thought i get in early ???
i think its very much suck it and see,we have 2-3 local traditional suppliers who are vg for your run of the mill stuff and ocasionaly they supprise you with parts you didnt think they would have, for the specialist parts ie these high quality european/ chinese items you realy just have to shop around. time consuming,
you could also tap in the vast knowledge and experience of the UKW members who will almost undoubtly been there lots of times.ps ive emailed connect 6 times and called them once, still no application form…enough said
