China’s stimulus program to boost appliance sales in rural regions helped increase 2012 unit sales by 22.6{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}, to 79,913 million units, according to data released by China’s Ministry of Commerce. The stimulus program has been in-place since February 2009.
