ParticipantWhat pleasure to call back to an old customer of mine today, Because he’s quite a tall bloke he had his kitchen fitter raise all the unit on a plinth. and realised it may be difficult for any Engineer to remove the appliances in the future, So he got the fitter to make him a platform matching the height of the plinth. First time in ages I have actually enjoyed working on a integrated machine

There is a kitchen fitter round my way who installs all integrated appliances on a piece of worktop or mdf sledge. They are also fit with a seperate plinth, these things come out easier than most freestanding appliances!
If he wasn,t such an ugly git I could kiss him.January 26, 2009 at 8:45 pm #275308goosegreen

Apparently the fitter who did this kitchen moaned and winged all through the job,But got to say I would recommend him to anyone afters seeing the quality of his work. As apposed to my first job of the day, WP/Diplomat integrated d/w nice floor up to the plinth but underneath the machine it looked like a lunar landscape. At the job just over an hour 5, Min’s to unblock the drain spigot, The rest of the time spent removing, refitting an then trying to level the damm thing.

ParticipantI thought it was a joke as well, needs a 2.5 meter inlet hose. There looks to be no give in the mains cable or the drain hose. Still alot of work to do to for access to most repairs.
