WIDL 126S Was flashing 2 + 4; but now 1 only and very noisy

Hi – my little Italian machine decided to stop working during a wash (all my bloody work shirts!) and started flashing 2 + 4 (along with the red door lock LED). Indesit recommended cleaing the pipes and checking the level of the outlet pipe – but they have not changed since May 2005, when I fitted it. I did find a beer can ring in the little pump area section, I have taken that out. I also managed to undue the main hose pipe that connect to the drum and there appears tp be nothing blocking it.

However, my Italian workhorse has decided to fill up, not start churning, but to flash on number 1 and the red door lock…….

Shall I call in Indesit, or just go and buy a new one….?
