ParticipantBeen to look at one of thes which is indicating eeprom error. It was flashing led 1 & 4. Are the eeproms replaceable or do you have to change complete board? Are eeproms programmed when they come, can i just put chip into module & machine will work or do they have to be re-programmed or something?
Machine is hot & cold fill type.June 20, 2007 at 9:43 am #217725iadom

Some eeproms are push in and some are soldered in.
Eeprom for H&C fill is C00114367, for C fill only it is C00119093.
Around £17.50 ex vat, list price. Not actually changed one myself, the Indesit chaps carry blank eeproms that they programme with the Emit software via their laptops.

Thanks for the reply, what i want to know is there a chip i can order with the correct programme on it to just plug in to module or, complete module to replace which i can fit & know it will work without needing to get Hot/Merloni’s out to it afterwards…

Yep, the preprogrammed eeprom is C00114367, but I thought I had more or less already said that. 🙂

hi, if the machine still has its origional factory fitted module you will not be able to change just the eeprom as it will be soldered in

If that is the case then send it to EMW.

When you get to my age the old hands get a bit shaky for that, plus the eyesight is not what it was, and no its nothing to do with the amount of the fruits of the vine I consume. 😆

the plug in eeproms are of a bigger size than the soldered in ones, you’d have to be damn good with the iron to get one of them in

For desoldering SMD chips is just a fear :eeek: … I can tell how to desolder in gross manner (which works on field)… At beginning you have to try on damaged PCB (to get experience):
– put enough solder one both parts of case until all four legs are together in two forms (like rice) . After that you have to melt solder consecutive (alternate) on both parts and with one tweezers you gone fill when is free to remove. :hmm:
– To remove remaining solder from PCB use thin Cu-wire or desoldering stripeOverheating to long and removing (pulling) rush will possible damage PCB.
I know that ordering new chips are available only normal case (DIP) so you have to clean old SMD space and plant new one in that place marked on PCB.
