Bit of a wild shot this one BUT someone may suprise me :rolls: (electronic wizz’s)

I have got a Bosch T/D with a faulty module.

I have traced the fault down to the dropper resistor. 🙂 which is 47 ohms. What I want to know is what type of resistor this is, wirewound, cement etc. It’ light blue in color with color band identification.

I am tempted just to fit a wirewound as most circuit board dropper resistors are, but just a bit frightened that it may be the wrong type.

dont think the type matters that much but wire wound will take more wattage

its a dropper resistor all it does is burn exess voltage off as heat

dont worry fit a ww i would

I did a bit more research into resistors 😕 🙁 It’s a minefield I never knew that there were so many variations and types. 😕 I think the type that is fitted to the board in question may be a fusable type 😕

if it is fusible then if you know wattage no probs to obtain

http://www.rswww.co.uk lists a few of them all different wattages and delivery is very quick highest wattage is 3W

Thanks for the reply Dave 😉 I have nailed this down to a 2 watt metal film by “cracking” the outer cover of the resistor and inspecting 🙂 I am just about to order some. I will try and give an update. 🙂
