Good morning all. Mrs Bloggs has finally decided to update our kitchen and fancies incorporating a wine chiller. We have in mind one of the slimline style ones, say 30cm. These hold around 18 to 21 bottles which is adequate for us.

There doesn’t seem to be much of a choice in this market. As a fan of Liebherr refrigerators and freezers, we looked there first but they have nothing suitable.

From a breif search it seems the BSH brands don’t either.

John Lewis have a stainless steel one 30cm wide of their own brand. Looks suspiciously like a Candy?

There seems to be a fair number of Amica made ones around the high street retailers both Amica and CDA brands.

Does anyone have a recommendation here for a 30cm wide stainless steel wine chiller with decent build quality?

    Thanks.

30cm ones you will struggle to get any that are not Chinese and not Peltier, either way, not good.

Which is why none of the decent refrigeration brands has one. 😉

And why a 30cm chiller with decent quality and performance is in all probability an almost impossible ask.

That explains it then. Not keen on any appliances that are Chinese. Hence why I am asking.

Next thing I found was a 45cm mQuvee which looks decent enough. But I can find nothing about them. I guess they’re Chinese too then. I really don’t want anything wider than 45cm. Thanks.

Just to add, the mQuvee I noticed does make a point of being compressor cooled rather than peltier. It’s called the mQuvee Wine Expert 24. I guess because it takes 24 bottles. It also has two temperature zones. At 45cm wide I can fit it in. I like this one. Any experience here of this brand? Nothing on the web I can find. Thanks.

No idea, unknown brand but almost certainly Chinese as most rebranded stuff of this ilk will be.
