ParticipantOk, I will set the scene.
A guy spills water into his Neff single oven, blowing a chunk out of one of the selector switches.
He then orders selector from BSH and neighbour duly fits it but drops the odd wire here and there.
Phone call to ourselves as we are Service Partners and muggins here has to go and sort it out with own wiring and schematic diagrams, only to find that customer had contacted BSH and had been sent exact diagrams as myself by post but could not sort it 👿
So what gives here gents, as I was under the impression that this sensitive info was copyrighted etc: 😕
Any suggestions/comments as I am gobsmacked to be honest.Greg

😯 😯 Me too 😯 😯
I take any print outs from laptop with me, to make sure punter doesn’t get hold of it.
That is very surprising that tech dept sent those out.

Oh please don’t rock the boat with BSH on this issue. We indies often get assistance from BSH tech dept regarding wiring diagrams, sequence charts etc. Currently they issue anyone that has a problem with these things and very handy they are thank you very much. 🙂
Public or trade alike to BSH Tech there is no dividing line. Over the years whenever I have telephone them they have never questioned me as to if I’m in the trade or not. Who cares? Thank heavens at least BSH cooperate as no other manufacturers do. But if they suddenly stop sending out wiring diagrams I for one will know the reason why 😉 👿

If BSH stop giving tech out willy nilly then that can only be a good thing and same for any manufacturer.
I have no qualms about indies having tech info but some protocol for distinguishing trade and public must exist surely.

Just to add to this, we pay a premium to access this information (which isn’t cheap) and then to have someone give that info away free really grates 👿 Thats the crux of it to be honest.

As a direct result of more details being available to me on this issue, I wish to fully retract my earlier statement, with my apologies to those directly affected by this. 😳

Aren’t you glad that we run a site which ruthlessly applies the forum rules in the public forums? They may not fix it, but they’ll be alive afterwards…….
