    Hi folks,
I currently have an electric -direct wired- oven and a gas hob.
Lookin to change to elec touch control ceramic hob and new elec oven…. so, the wiring I have now is a thick cable from ‘Cooker’ switch to the oven and a thinner cable to the elec igniter on my gas hob.

Question is, can I wire both units using the one thick wire I have now ? Some sort of splitter box to give me two feeds ?

Does a ceramic hob even take the same wire connection an oven does ??

and if my new oven states it needs a 13amp plug supply, can I add that myself or is a sparky needed ?

Thanks all for any advice offered.

Yep, you need a spark for this I’m afraid under Part P.

If the total load of both oven and hob don’t exceed the rating of the cooker outlet as is I think it’s legal to connect both to that, but you’d have to check that, And, if that is the case, you can lose the plugtop for the oven,
