ParticipantI have a front load wash machine as described in topic.
The issue is the main connection bolt that connect the motor to the tub keeps coming loose. When it is loose the machine stops spinning and sometimes makes a kind of grinding or knocking sound.
I have tried to tighten it a few times and it lasts about 5-6 loads and loosens up again. I am tightening pretty tight — I have a tendency to overtighten and break things so I haven’t applied extreme pressure yet.
The machine has got a UE error a few times (6 out of 1000 washes) so I am guessing the vibrations caused this. Do I need to order something or what do I need to do to keep this bolt tight???

Loctite makes sense. Let me ask is this problem normal and could it be a bigger problem? I mean when I tighten it back up it seems that everything works fine… but I am tightening really tight and it still comes undone soon, especially if I do a high spin. Also if I use loctite will I be able to get it off if I need to do a repair?

I applied loctite and it didn’t hold.
I took the bolt out and the big metal ring (not sure what it is called). I have never done this before so I am not sure what the grooves should look like on the ring — but they look a little worn.
I applied some threaded tape and loctite to the bolt to see if works better. How do I know if the metal ring with the grooves is not worn out (and what is it called)?
Also I found that LG had a manufacturing issue with my model number with serials starting with an 8 or 9 — of course mine starts with an 8.
