wm63p door seal

hi just ordered a door seal for a wm63p 75193795.. but it has a different lip to the original .. c00200958.. hotpoint say its the only one and no alternative ..the lip sticks up as against being flat.. any ideas?

if its the one with the groove in it change the clamp band

The same part number as the 1603006, bog standard WM seal. The seal lip was thickened up on later seals to prevent dribbles but TBH I have never had a problem fitting them?

its a different seal turn the old one upside down.

The one on the left is identical to 5 or 6 1603006 seals I have. ???

They did experiment with a different seal like the old one and a stainless steel rim that fitted loosely to the drum front in an attempt to stop clothes passing the seal, I have just discarded the stainless steel ring and fitted a 1603006, cannot rememeber having any problems. 😕
