ParticipantHi, i know i haven’t posted before but most questions are already answered with the search button.
trying to sort out a Hotpoint wma 33, does not rinse the clothes properly, always leaves soap or conditoner in final spin. ( 3 out of 4 times )
Stripped machine many times and no blockages or dirt anywhere. The machine seems to have hardly any water in it !
I have tried numerous solutions and the local hotpoint guys are muppets. ( wait till they need a favour, sorry boyz but credit where credit due )Has anyone got any ideas and i would pay handsomely for a service manual ( i know they are rocking horse s** )
Many thanks in advanceps keep the banter going, the forum is great.

ParticipantHi Bman,
Not syphoning is it? Also the OOB setup on these things is notoriously sensitive. Last rinse is usually a deep one, so you should see water!Hope that’s a little bit of help, feel free to join in fully – the more the merrier!
Cheers,

Bangerman,
The WMA33 Manual is freely available (Part No: 5405000 Cost £15) and tells all. Including that the Pressure Switch sets at 6 litres (Resets at 3 litres)..Usual water capacity is 10 to 24 litres depending on programme setting (Normal wash 10 litres..Woollens 24 litres). Flood protection level is 30 litres (Halfway up door) when pump is energised…etc etc…All in the Service Manual and much more 🙂

Participant1 to check if outer tub has been replaced just check sump hose has been correctly fitted as some of the earlier sump hoses can twist and when pumping collapse in on themselves seen that a couple of times now

I have read the manual from back to front, twice!
I am now the Oricle of all information regarding the WMA 33 ( not )My question is :-
The instruction / user guide says That the machine has an auto half load, that auto detects light loads and only uses half the water etc.
How is this done?
Nothing is mention in the service manual etc
all the best

Control Board microprocessing!
It uses the same detection for wash load as it does for spin in as much as the ‘OOB detection system’ is used on wash to determine the weight of load.
With ‘small’ loads after the pressure switch has set at 6 litres and the tumble/soak process begins very little ‘extra’ water is added as the microprocessor has ‘detected’ a light load 8)
Many manufacturers these days incorporate this feature within their electronic circuit boards. The importance of the motor being in good working order is paramount because if it isn’t, very often when the Control Module ‘blows’ the Motor is the guilty party. For some reason very few manufacturers incorporate a fuseable link between the two.
So rule of thumb for any service engineer has to be: –
“If the Module is burnt to a crisp, at motor to your list!” 😆 😆
