wma 46 not draining

    hi wma46 the pump will not switch on i used a tester on it and its ok ive stripped the pump down but alls ok . the drum turns on spin but thats it , any help wuold be great ,thanks

    Check for chaffed and broken wiring down the cabinet front. Check continuity from PCB.

    thanks, you where right got the front off and there were wires hanging down all over the place and more than one where damaged, changed board and wiring harness, but seems to be a bad design none of the wires were cable tied just hanging loose , but thanks again .

    Here’s one from this afternoon – tub half changed by Hotpoint three months ago.

    Motor lead chaffed through, fortunately board survived. All the slack was pullled back through and the tyraps actually tightened, as well as securing under the tub by motor – you can see the unused loop.
