got a good one here.. sorry if a bit long winded.
WMA 33, door seal change ( due to soap damage, see recent post )
Stripped dispenser draw & cleaned it.
Decided in my undue wisdom that i have a brand new pressure in tool box and i will fit it while the machine is open( had a few problems with this switch in past )new switch is different but part numbers are ok.
wiring is back to front but cannot get wrong as plugs are slotted, doubled checked wiring numbers etc.
machine will not go into service test mode, component test mode works so does switch mode etc.
turn on machine water fills up & up etc,
pressure switch not cutting in.has the main board blown ? if so why. refitted old switch etc
help..

If it ain’t broke why mend it?Why did you try changing the Pressure Switch if the old one was OK 😕

If you manually blow up the pressure switch does it stop filling as Martin says why change it?? You have caused yourself grieve when you are only changing a door Seal!!

Pressure switches rarely go out of calibration. They either work or they don’t! If it’s overfilling it is probably due to a blockage.
Surely this is a classic case of “look for an associated fault” If you have just changed the door seal because of mould growth and had to remove and clean the dispenser due to the same, it implies that the sump hose/pressure chamber is blocked too.

water pumps out fast when put into component test mode or onto a spin mode.
When you try to put the machine into service test mode, the relay clicks but no actions.
I think the problem is the electronic side of the pressure switch.
The switch operates with a click if you blow into etc.The main board does not appear to be getting any signals back from the switch. wiring ?
Any ideas.

Could be 😕
The 2 black leads from the PCB connector go on terminals 12 & 16 on the Pressure switch.Red/Green from the Heater relay on the PCB goes to terminal 11 and the Violet/Green from the Heater goes to terminal 14.
You must also take off and clear the crud from the Pressure Chamber :tup:

red/green as stated in manual is actually brown/green on machine.
doubled checked wiring all ok, crud in chamber ok, new drum 2 months ago but checked anyway.
Pressure switch is operating and feed pipe is pressurized, when you take pipe off, you can hear the pressure switch reset.
If you put machine on a cycle , it fills up too much then pre wash light flashes & machine stops, fault code says , machine failed to fill.
and you still cannot get the function test to work, just heater relay clicks.
my assumption is pressure switch is working but front panel does no get the message.
suggest new font panel, are they big bucks etc.

Have you done a continuity test from the pressure switch plug to the module, could be an internal break in the wiring at the plug??
To be honest I do not have problems with the pressure switch on these machines, in fact I have never changed one. I have had this fault many times and it has always been a blockage, not soap gunge but small items that get down the side of the plastic coin trap/filter assy. one was a thin plastic sheet from a credit card, another was one of those “dye gone” sheets. It does not take much to cover the outlet from the sump into the pressure chamber, you need to remove the plastic filter to check.

FIXED…. happy, happy
managed to borrow new board form local hotpoint engineer…
still the same.
i played with the wiring loom that goes from front panel to motor area etc
suddenly lost drum movement but still had spin?
took off motor plugs & refitted, drum now working ok,
after 3 assembles & deassembles problem is cured..
loose wiring somewhere.. but where?
anyway it works… for now

If the problem reappears the wiring loom from motor to module is available as a spare, around £3.25 + vat. part No: 1603396
