Right, do it properly. Drain hose down into a washing up bowl until all flow stops. With the lower rear access panel removed, you will be able to see a black hose exiting the bottom of the drum, retained by a large jubilee clip. Undo this, pull down the hose and extract the filter. Thoroughly clean, check hose for anything that’s got through and re-assemble.
All to be done with the power off, of course.
No doubt there will be howls of outrage in the Trade forums in the morning about giving people too much information.
