Re: WMA36 “fills, all lights on, stops and sits there&a
Thanks for the stuff, Jim.
In the end, I went to machine having forgotten to consult info. 😳
but it didn’t matter because, having dragged it out and examined things, I found a brush (Bosch) had somehow got a bit stuck in its holder. I think the springs on the pattern brushes may sometimes be a teeny bit bigger in diameter than the originals and that may be what caused it.
Anyway, I could feel bearings starting to wear and when I told him about that and how much it would set him back I think he didn’t seem too keen. (Apparently this one is on 4 times a day in summer – washing for holiday guests- so he feels it has given them more than adequate for their money.)
Which reminds me of another WMA I was asked to check on in the laundry room of a company that services holiday cottages. About 18 months ago I could hear the bearings roaring like a military jet in it so I told her to run it into the ground and get a Bosch. Went back the other day to do a tumble dryer and the WMA was still there and in use and still roaring!! 😯
Dunno how it’s still going?
Mike.
