    Have you checked that the plastic timer knob has not been forced on in the wrong orientation? Had a WD where the dryer timer was 180 deg out for this reason.

    Yes, that’s a good point; I’ve done that myself before now and wondered why the machine didn’t work properly after the repair!

    I’ll check it first but I don’t think anyone’s interfered with it. I’ve had the same problem before on one of these and it was the pcb.
