Isn’t it always the way :rolls: I’m going tostop doing jobs for anyone I remotely know as they’re the only ones i get weird faults on 👿 This time my lads headmistress.

Above machine with a report of no spin. Tried the machine and NDA spun drum by hand and the motor is fairly noisy and the brushes are down. Replaced them a couple of years ago so they shouldn’t have gone so quickly, so advised her that new motor required. Gave them the lowdown on age and the fact that they’ve had a few repairs recently was it worth it? Reply…order new motor as we haven’t got time to buy new at the moment.
Fitted motor and now machine lets you programme and starts to fill but as soon as the motor starts to turn the lights go off. Swith the machine off and lights come back on when you switch it back on. Once or twice when the motor kicks in the light go off and come back again without switching off.

I know it sounds like a component failure on the board but not being an electronics bod (and trying to keep the cost down by sending off) haven’t a clue where to start on the board….any easy answers or is it off to the heads room 🙁

Sounds like a power supply fault on the board – don’t have a board to hand so can’t tell you which component number to check/change but if you can post some photos of the board I will see if I can help.
