WMA76 drum only has two bolts ????

Yeah had this a while ago, had to fit a new spider to a wma m/c, removed the 6 allen bolts holding the spider on [right t**ts to shift], but was only supplied with 3 replacement bolts, allegedly these where supposed to be adequate 😕 😳 ,so I put some off the old bolts on aswell just to be sure, no probs to date & that was 2 yrs ago!

It is very common to see spiders with only three bolts, one in each arm, and was not a mistake, it was no doubt done as a cost saving exercise. I have yet to see one with only two bolts though.

Possible, but unlikely to have lasted until out of guarantee. 😉

However…

I had an interesting one today.

Beko WMA10 just over twelve months old with earth fault…. No heater bollard 😯 !!!

This is the second one I have seen with this problem this year… The first one I dismissed as possible coin damage as the customer had already had a dig about in the sump hose and removed several items, I assumed that the heater fixing had been discarded. Today’s one was an elderly lady who have never even touched the filter!

Things do get missed on a production line.

I have heard of some recent Hotpoint machines coming out without a drum bearing seal. 😯

Had that on a 95** years ago. Customer only called Hotpoint out because the belt kept falling off. It was about 6 months old by then.
