    Hi,

I’ve called to a Hotpoint WML520 today which starts fine, fills to the right level and begins heating etc. After a couple of mins it fills again to a third up the door glass and continues heating. It then takes ages to heat due to the volume of water, and the machine stops dead when the heating has finished. All the lights are still on but nothing happens until you intervene.
Checked pressure switch and hose, heater, motor and brushes.
Sound like a module fault or some other idiotic Indesit idiosyncrasy?!

    Thanks
    Simon

Get loads with a chaffed pressure hose at the moment, but sounds like a board fault to me but who knows? the weird and wonderful world of Indesit could be anything?

    Thanks Johnny,
Having eliminated the hose I was thinking module next.
Maybe they’ll just opt to replace their 3 or 4 year old hotpoint like the thousands of others before them.

Picking up this thread again, I ordered what was supposed to be the right module for this specific machine and had to send it back as definitely wrong.
The right one is an Arcadia module with part no. C00271127. Please could someone confirm if it needs programming? Many thanks, Simon

Yes, but it also needs a five tag harness change if it has an earlier four tag connection.

Post up the full model, serial number and commercial code to make sure.

Iadom, thanks for your reply. Customer decided to buy new before I’d priced the job so that’s that! Thanks again.
