wms 38 door lock light flashing

went out to this one this morning armed with new interlock. after replacing lock shut the door after a bit of a fiddle with it.no change light still flashing and no go.(customer then explained to me where you have to bang it to get it to close!!!).the door itself is not latching properly and can be opened easily without using handle.door catch worn badly.i take it from other postings that module and interlock go in tandem could this be the case here or is there anything else.paul

The small spring inside the door latch is a common failure point but if that is OK then it sounds like the PCB. 😥

Before you fit it, manually engage the interlock to see if it then works. If it does, fit the new spring, if it doesn’t, take a shufty at the module for a blown track and triac (terminals 1,2 and 3 on the X1 block IIRC?). 🙂
