Just last week I was praising the staff at parts Centre in Sittingbourne. Now they have closed they have moved to Burnley.

I am a bit peeved with them for not notifying me as to the change of details, phone no’s etc. I would have thought a letter at least. If I had not picked up on the closing of Sittingbourne on UKWG I would never have known. So much for customer relations ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Anyone else recieve official notification? Or is it just me that gets told nowt

    Mal,

Having been a client of Washvac aka Partscentre for 40 years ! we hava not received anything at all from them regarding the current situation and you have to wonder what planet those people who sit on the managment of PC are on !

Since Wolsely got their hands on Washvac they have slowly but surely strangled the golden goose with their own bare hands. If there was ever a sure fire way to run a company into the ground the these people should get a certificate of reconition.

Still what does it matter ? we can all spend our budgets elsewhere with companies who do offer real service and Wolsely can concentate on using partscentre as a loss.

Well that’ll chuck CDSL/CONNECT out the running then.

True, they have picked up a lot of business , shame that the are not up to speed with customer satisfaction. ๐Ÿ˜• I am still waiting after numerous contacts for them to match discount levels until then I will still put most of my business through Parts Centre as they give me good margins although Seme can blow the socks of some prices ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Re: Wolesley Parts Centre

Enjoy it while you can, Washvac was born in Kent and now it has demised
Can Wolsley ever understand out trade ? I have my doubts based on thier performance thus far.

Another thing as well, Washvac aka partscentre is a very small part of wolselys total operations, with the near catastrophic failures, loss of business and loss of confidence with its longstanding customer base how long will it be before some sharp eyed suit with a calculator decideds that the poor realation in the wolsely empire is no longer profitable and it gets the chop !

When a company scales down its operations and cannot be even botherd to let its partners know that sucks in my book.

Lets wait and see how it all pans out, as for the other suppliers like Connect, SEME and Qualtex they are doing a pretty convincing job and Qualtex are making inroads off the back of Partscentre by opening a centre in Sittingbourne while partscentre were asleep and they offer great service as do Connect at least for me.

Parts Center is one of the most profitable businesses within Wolseley UK.
Rememeber that the white goods side of Parts Center is a very small part.
Parts Center is Europes biggest supplier of heating and control spare parts and last year in the uk alone turned over ยฃ140 million.

    Re: Wolesley Parts Centre

I was of course referring to the white goods side of things, they may operate a profitable operation in the plumbing, heating and climate devisions thats a lot of comfort to customers of washvac who were left high and dry by wolseley !

My mind is not changed, when they get rid of customers and staff many of who have been longstanding customers and long term expereinced employees then that speaks volumes.

The future will be the telling point and we will have to wait and see how it pans out.

We still have heard nothing from Wolseley regarding closure of the Kent Warehouse or the fact that our rep will no longer be calling.

No Contact, Bad form by any account.

    Re: Wolesley Parts Centre

TBH it has gone tits up since they closed Sittingbourne, the poor staff at Burnley has been thrown in at the deep end, they obviously know their stuff on boilers but naff all in white goods. Sadly it’s a case of the “the computer say no”

They had a massive library of service manuals at Sittingbourne, probably disappeared along with the redundancies. I wonder how many of the manuals are now sitting on Qualtexโ€™s desks :rolls:

In the long run Wolesley will know doubt sell off the white goods side as a loss, probably to be snapped up by Connect then we will really be stuffed as they will dictate spares price to suit themselves, not that they and Hot/Mer/Ind are not doing that now IMO

Exactly Mal, we all need to keep our options open and spread our business around. The worse thing to ever have is a monoply !
