Work provider labour rates

    I would be interested to know what people think are reasonable and acceptable labour rates that work providers are willing to pay sub contractors for the repair of :-
    freestanding washing machines,cookers,ovens,tumble driers and dishwashers
    and
    Integrated washing machines,dishwashers,tumble driers,double ovens and range cookers.

    I think it depends on the type of work provider and the nature of the contract. If it’s a one-off job, the contractor’s normal rates should apply. If it’s a more regular work stream the rates should be agreed by negotiation between the parties. I personally wouldn’t accept work at anything below my normal rates. It is generally not a good idea for a contractor to become overly reliant on a single work provider, much better to build a diverse customer base, these days greatly facilitated with a decent website and Google local business listing.
