KeymasterJohn,
Can you get any pictures of the stuff and a list of the common things from the chap that we’ll use?
If I can get some pics we can fire them up in here.

What about the combined UKW/Company Logo suggestion then? 🙄

KeymasterThe UKW logo will be done, the addition of that and/or a company one is down to the individual to leave as much choice as possible.

Thanks Ken but you missed my point but hey no problem 🙂
What my idea was….on the ‘e-Jobs’ thread……that UKW logo could be ‘modified’ to include the name of the individual company. The ‘example’ I gave was: – Enterprise Services above the UKW logo to include http://www.ukwhitegoods.com(in the centre)and below that : Approved Member.
Just a thought 😀

KeymasterYes I know, but not everyone may appreciate that.
The idea is to simply use the logo and “ukwhitegoods.com” as it’s short, easy to remember and most people with any brains cells at all know it’s a URL. Then to carry that forward to van livery too if desired.
The idea is that, whilst a customer will not remember “Enterprise Services – 01299-XXXXXXX”, they should remember “ukwhitegoods.com” easily enough and with e-Jobs online soon enough any work that you want should come back to you pre-filtered. Least, that’s the plan.
The notion of using the logo as you suggest did cross my mind but in all honesty, I didn’t think people would like being forced to use the logo that we specified and, as is my way, I’d rather give people the option to opt-in by choice as opposed to forcing an issue wherever possible. How the art is arranged however, is up to you as well remember to a large degree.
The point is, before I ramble too long about it, is that YOU have the choice of how you promote or don’t promote UKW. We can always revisit the notion at a later date though. 😉

Just a short follow up, spoke to the dealer today and he will come back to me tomorrow with a slightly different price structure, the reason being that the price given was for my polo shirts with my company details.
The new price ( which won’t be much difference either way ) will be for the polo shirts to have the UKWG logo and UKWHITEGOODS.COM on the garments, then all you have to pay extra is for your own artwork and embroidery if you require it.

Can anyone who wants to buy through this workwear deal send me a copy of their company logo so that I can get a sample of the embroidery made up and sent to them for approval.
I am hoping to get a firm price this week and will post size charts and what colours are available as soon as I get them.
Can you send to: john@mdmappliances.co.uk
Thanks
John

KeymasterRe: Workwear Deal
Just a quick update on this, John kindly sent me up the sample and it’s superb! Really nice looking and should make the guys all look that bit more professional which is a great thing IMO.
So I’ll be ordering a few sets given the low cost. Hopefully this is an ongoing arrangement that we can develop through time as well.
Good work John and a superb deal.

The samples do look good IMO with a few slight problems that the supplier acknowledges. Going from the top the electrical in Deltec is the wrong colour it should be gold, The swirly bit behind MDM does not stand out very clear so that is being changed to the same colour of red that is in the CES logo and the spacing/sizing in “Quality Washer Repairs” is a bit off which he assures me will be sorted for the final run.
It will be an ongoing deal and at £6 for a polo shirt (with the UKW logo included) and £9 for work trousers you can’t go wrong. The company that is producing these items for us is in the process of setting up their own website and maybe we could set up a link between the sites for any one else who wants work wear.
I imagine we should have this initial order delivered for the end of January at the latest and will send all who are buying an exact size guide after the new year.
