I bought a teardrop bearing for my hotpoint tumble dryer and it’s slightly to big to fit in the hole on the back panel. So would you file it down to make it fit :rolls:

Was the original bearing the teardrop shape?

If it was then I can only assume the replacement is a very poor copy, never seen a genuine one that was too big. ❓

I replaced the original teardrop bearing over a year ago and I had no problem then but I think I used part number C00142628. This time I thought I was buying the same part number but I was sent a qualtex brg60 which uk whitegoods shop says it’s a low cost compatible teardrop.
