Have a 3RLSQ…. top loader not spinning fast enough even without a load?

The pump is a bit stiff on this one, so could have been the start of the problem.

It has a capacitor on it seems to test out ok, but no rating mf on it?

What else on this model would prevent it from getting up to full spin?

    Any other pointers please!

    Cheers

there is a spin clutch on top of the gearbox

check for oil contamination from failing gearbox seals

its an easy fit though you can drop the box in under 15 mins

dont know the age of your m/c but corrosion on spin tube will cause a slow spin on these, expensive repair as outer tube will be corroded as well. as dave said these are a very easy stripdown .had one that had not been used for a while and after stripdown and a bit of freeing of clutch and brake m/c kicked back into life and ran fine(cap is 22 if memory serves me right but check it out before you put one in)paul
