Been to look at one of these Whirlpool Heavy Duty (HD) WM1100 washers. It had F- DL in display, I took off door lock, greased up a bit, tightened all connections to boards, emptied filter which was blocked slightly.
Run & tested, seems to run ok now but door locks, starts to fill for a few seconds, door unlocks, locks again & continues.
Is this normal operation or is there likely to be a bad connection somewhere?

    Any service/diagnosis info appreciated.

The fault code is door not able to lock so you got it right.
The code comes on after 6 attempts to lock.

I haven’t worked on one of these for a while but I think the door unlocks after startup and only locks again if the water is hot or if on spin cycle to allow the user to add missed items.

    Hi,
Had this in my local vet, F11 that is. Advised her to get Whirlpool out to confirm the fault. They diagnosed the module (£145+vat my price not theirs) and advised motor also just in case. Total to them around £670 for a £500 machine Told her I would do module at her risk as motor seemed fine. That was back in February and fingers crossed so far it’s ok and she does hammer it.
Wouldn’t do it at my risk though for that sort of money.
