ParticipantI have the above Hotpoint dishwasher and the heating element has failed. According to numerous websites the original Hotpoint part is now obsolete, but the alternative they list does not fit the recirculating pump frame at all – the outer diameter of the housing is around 6mm too small.
it seems this is the only part available now for this but can’t see how this would fit. I have looked online and the pump I have fitted is different to the one that is listed for my model also (and would probably fit the newer heater assembly). The newer pump is only 60w instead of 65w, but apart from that it looks like it should fit.
can anyone offer any advice please? I cannot find the original part number listed anywhere online, which is making things difficult!

Moderatorok
there are 2 different models with different heaters
I need the commercial code off the model label to see which one you haveone of them the heater is C00305341 but thats obsolete but may have a new number
the other is C00256527 which becomes C00520796Dave

ParticipantThanks for the reply Dave, I have a feeling mine is the obsolete part as that is the number I found.
commercial code is 36827482500. As is say I’m more than happy to swap the motor out as well if needs be, but not sure if the controller will be so happy!
many thanks

Moderatorhttps://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/c00305341-dishwasher-heating-element
think it should be this one
you can find out from here
https://www.hotpoint.co.uk/spare-parts
put commercail code in. it gives you part no of old part but for some reason there is an error on site that stops subs showing up
if you put part no of old part vin whitegoods website you get link above
you can ask shop to check before purchase

ParticipantThanks for the reply and info. However it seems that part has been discontinued – if you order this part you actually get a different part which physically doesn’t fit and is different dimensions. I actually ordered it from three different places, all listing that exact part but the ‘replacement’ version arrived. I did find that oddly a pump part number was listed as the replacement for this part on some
sites, so I ordered that and this is a direct replacement for my original
pump, but smaller dimensions so the new element fits fine.all has been well for about 8-9 weeks with the washer used every day. Today, it gave an f10 error again – when I checked the element the thermal fuse on the element itself has blown again (same as last time). The suppliers are sending a replacement heater housing again but im wondering if the reason this and the original elements failed is because the relay is sticking on the control board. Im
not averse to replacing a relay if I need to – but if it needs a new control board I may just give up now as it’s not worth the cost!November 19, 2023 at 10:46 pm #488120electrofix
Moderatorwell if they are sending you a new heater changing the relays cant hurt
chack the motor for play in the rotor as if you have poor water flow the heater can blow

ParticipantThanks for the reply Dave. I had to replace the pump/motor when I changed the heater element, so that is new.
any pointers on which relay I need to replace? Can’t find much info online for it

Moderatorhave no tech on them so its a case of look at the board and look for one fed with the heaviest wires

ParticipantSo I have taken the board out and it uses sanyou relays which I cannot find anywhere except in bulk. I don’t suppose anyone can suggest alternatives here can they? Model of relay is SRD-S-112DM-F-C1

Moderatorfrom the pics i can see online this is a standard size
if coil voltage, contact current and voltage is ok plus it physically fits it should be finepost a clear pic of the relay from all sides

ParticipantHi Dave
have attached images below as requested. The c1 notation appears to indicate a ‘special version’ of relay but not what!
