Used to be. If I Googled somthing Yell.com used to appear as one of the results. seems like they don’t now and I suspect it is because they would prefer to stand alone & not pay Google money.
So in the last year I’ve looked, and have only had 1 enquiry passed via their web-site, then it was for something we don’t do. I know my website is difficult to find, due to lack of time at my end.

Intriguing question from you adv, especially as there are so many other threads about giving chapter and verse over the rights and wrongs of Yell.com. I’m sure you must have read a few? 🙂
Be that as it may the question has in fact various answers depending entirely on the position and needs of each individual company or sole trader and their needs in advertising their business and spreading the word.
Now if you are a sole trader, not been in the trade long and need to gain major impact from a minimal advertising budget? Yell.com may give you the extra exposure you require? Though placing great reliance on their seemingly high standing in the market and the projected returns each subscriber can look forward to receiving does fall way short of reality, way way short in fact.
There is a need to advertise of course and Yellow Pages can be an outlet for that and once you subscribe you automatically get a place on their yell.com website anyway. So that may be the way forward for you?
Beyond that I can only suggest you don’t place too much reliance on yell in any format and don’t stump up too much money in the process either as pound for pound yell ain’t good value it really isn’t.
Please do read through all the other threads here on the subject and make your own mind up. 😀

Hi, you can record your company details for free on yell.com. I paid to have the all bells and whistles service some years ago when working for myself full time. I didnt keep that long due to the cost. But the free register is worth doing even if your not top of the tree.
