Hey everyone; I’ve read so so many topics about Mistral freezers but all seem to have a slight difference to my issue so I thought I’d ask before I go buying parts!

    • The fridge is staying (roughly) at the temperature it should be
    • The freezer constantly changes temp, anywhere between -15 and 0 degrees
    • This has been going on for about a fortnight
    • Frost is building up in the freezer

    • The fan at the back of the freezer is on constantly (well, whenever the fridge door is closed – yep the switch is working)
    • I’ve cleared all the dust from the bottom, and the lower fan still runs
    • It’s been power cycled, first thing to try of course!
    • This might be a weird one; sometimes if I trigger the fridge door switch a few times the freezer temp reading will jump randomly + significantly

    Edit:
    • Just put a thermometer in, straight down to -20 and still sinking; the freezer display currently reads +1.
So the freezer reading is incorrect, making ‘something’ run all the time and scaring my parents. How should I solve this?

Any clues guys? Thanks in advance 🙂
