Hi There,
I appear to have the classic RS21 Issue. We’ve had the model listed above for just over three years, and the fridge stopped cooling. Ice was on the Condenser Panel, so we defrosted but fridge is still not cooling.
I did the diagnostic, and got the small horizontal line on the Fridge section.
If it is the panel I’m not confident enough to replace myself, especially bearing in mind some of stories I’ve heard on here with DIY, so three questions please…
1) Is it worth trying to fully defrost the assembly (only defrosted the ice we could see, the first time around (!), or does the horizontal line on the diagnostic mean that the panel definitely needs replacing?
2) How much should we expect to pay for this repair including parts (£82 for the panel I think?)
2) Is there anyone in the Halifax area that anyone can recommend for the job. There are three possible entries in repairs@, but they are for places like Rochdale and Bradford, who I guess may charge more for call-out.
Any help would be appreciated…many thanks.
