ParticipantDear Lord,
When I eventually shuffle off this mortal coil & take up residence on my cloud, will you please let me be the Patron Saint of Domestic Appliances? This is so that I may pelt those “unenlightened people” such as my dear Sister with old Haier Washing Machine Motors or Merphoney PCB’s in order to knock some sense into them, that if you buy cheap you buy twice! 😡
After promising my Sister, that I would go halves with her on a new decent washing machine as an early chrissy pressie, she very nearly committed the first cardinal sin of buying some rubbish from Tesco’s called EasiLogic. Has my advice from all the years at working for NEEB/Northern Electric really been in vain ????????? – (Shudders) A Hotpoint would have been more preferable to that pile of Tesco junk.
Now she has just phoned for a blether (and it appears she has committed Cardinal Sin No.2) she’s ordered a Beko WMA510 from her Grattan Catalogue and because she got a Buy Now Pay Next Year, she has bought the matching dryer DRCS68 as well & if I would like to make a contribution, all donations will gratefully be received. WHINGE, MUTTER, MOAN!
Now as I reach for my cheque book (& the DOMGEN website in order to buy her and her Beko’s an Extended Warranty) it is very clear, you can choose your appliances, but you can’t choose your relatives!
AMEN.

Then indeed I have sinned Martin, because I have ordered & paid for the two warranties, on the evening of my post (wed) for & on behalf of my sister. It wasn’t a great deal of cash (about £69 for the two) – I wasn’t aware this site did warranties?
I have also got the pleasure of her company on Xmas Day, no-doubt it will be sherry and scandal all round. (Mr. WQ tells me he is emigrating. He finds her constant yakking irritating. – I on the other hand are well used to her. It was the same when we were kids. Still she is my flesh and blood……takes after our Mam.) 😆

Hee Hee! I may even join him! Thanks for asking about him. That is most kind.
At the moment he is well, we have to go on the 27 of Dec to the hospital for him to have a scan of his veins and arteries. This is because of the heart failure, his venous pressure is a little low. They are concerned that with the low pressure, the formation of a fistula (joining of artery and vein together) in order to create an access point for dialysis may be a bit of a problem. – Fingers Crossed! & then back to kidney clinic on the 28th of Dec for a review.
