I had G Smy on the other day from AIS telling me that, “I don’t know what you’ve said but nobody in the trade wants to touch these Chinese dishwashers and no-one will give any warranty on repairs to them.”
Result then. 😉
TBH I dunno what he’s on about, all we did was discuss just how bad the bloody things are.
Interestingly he says that Waterline have an anti-Chinese product policy in place due to the problems that they’ve had on all Chinese products, not just the poxy dishwashers. He didn’t give me any figures but mentioned that the failure rate on refrigeration was “very high”.
On top of this I’d suspect that technical and spares are also an issue when it comes to support.
Also a very interesting thing was that the Chinks don’t use any machinery as they don’t have any, to load the machines into a container. Now that is interesting as, as soon as they hit a European warehouse, they’d be clamped which doesn’t happen in China. It’s cheaper to use manual labour to load them apparently then to buy a machine to do it.
