ParticipantWhat do you find you use most toolwise and what makes your job that bit easier?
I don’t often give praise but i think my biggest and most useful tool is
UKWG Trade Section.I have been repairing domestic appliances a long time now and have mostly got through problems alone but with what can sometimes be a HELL of a lot of stress.
I found this forum really by chance a little while back and can certainly say its made a HELL of a difference to my everyday working practices.Keep up the good work.
😉The amount of shared knowledge in these forums are surely saving us ALL lots of mistakes/mis diagnosis amongst other things im sure.
I know if i come up against a odd fault or a new fault there will be someone here thats been there several times so in a sense i feel safe i can get the help i need from likeminded engineers.
Sorry to rant but ive been thinking about all the help the guys give/share and it EASES the strain.
For me anyway.🙂

Fault Code bible courtesy of UKW, is most used item in tool box nowadays!!
laptop with 3g access to here is a backup 💡
as far as tools go a cordless screwdriver is a must nowadays, i use a metabo one bit bulky but battery lasts about a week.
ratchet spanners and headtorches are a godsend as well!!

THIS thread started 6 years ago, and still running, is what members past and present have added to the same subject. 😉

Neon screwdrivers are supposed to be bad for you according to my local City & Guilds Electrical teacher type chap, too much risk on getting a shock. 😆
I think he`s the same HSE guy that now puts Health warnings on xmas crackers as being Explosives and as such cannot be sold to under 16 yr olds. :rolls:
My best tool would be my Torq bits and a pack of 600 mg Ibuprofen.
Also my megger. 😆
