Integrated dishwasher correctly fitted, plumber installed gas line under it between the front and back legs, taking his cue from the alarm engineer who’d previously run his cables there.
Wait for it…..yep the back legs were as tight as hell.

    Hi

Bosch washing machine that had been installed before stone floor and cabinets fitted to final position.Stone floor installed up to machine, all pipe work fitted behind cabinets to find shut off valves and drain had to get kitchen fitter to remove corner unit carousel and backs of units then cut out stone floor to get machine out so that I could repair a leaking hose.

Yup, had a few of those, pillocks!

I had a good one this week 😕 15 year old Hotpoint, drum collapsed…

Customer: “I think I need a new washa! You sell them, don’t ya?”

    Me: “Meh! Ok.”

Twas the narrowest galley kitchen you’ve ever seen, on the 2 floor! But, the best bit, was that the units were so tight together at the kitchen entrance, me and Goatboy Senior had to lift the new and old machines right up, and carry them over the worktops 😕

While we both whinged about our sore backs, because of digging out Goatboy Senior’s fish pond the day before 😛

    It wasn’t even an ISE!

A regular well off, but slow to pay, customer had a blockage in her Bosch integrated dishwasher (top of the range bells and whistles job). Just needed the side panel off to get plastic wrapper out of a hose.
Lovely kitchen , mosaic tiled floors, black marble worktop, bespoke cabinets Di***ead kitchen fitter. 👿
Undid the top two srews and the whole thing collapsed behind the units.
He’d lowered the front legs and not the back.
The trouble was, that these units being made for this kitchen, didn’t follow your normal carcasses to the wall, and the gap behind was larger than the dishwasher to take the wine racks either side.
Took two men to pull it forward from behind the racks and another to guide it through the gap!!!

before the days of mobile phones went to a zan jet system on our local rough estate sensing that I was on to a loser I made my appoligies and left ” sorry thats one we dont keep parts for” 30 seconds tops. drive down to the botom of the dead end turn around drive out . king kong and wife in road ” you mend my F****** machine now or Ill F***** kill you” starts kicking the van door. people stand on their doorsteps to watch the fun. luckily someone phones the boys in blue and Im saved
it turns out he had just been released from jail for knifing and two weeks later his pictur appeared in the local paper posing angrily against a broken down door “drug squad got the wrong address…………..”

NEVER EVER PARK A VAN SO THAT YOU CANT LEAVE QUICKLY, NEVER PUT YOURSELF IN DANGER, IF IT LOOKS DODGY DONT KNOCK.

tv likes to show the thankfully few rogue traders but NEVER shows the thankfully few dangerous customers

Customer answers the door and the air inside is so bad you could taste it.
Follow the customer through the living room (feet sticking to the carpets)
until we reach the kitchen, all the while the smell is getting stronger.
Bare concrete floor, dog cr4p or kid cr4p all over the floor, food leftovers everywhere.
Cat on top of the cooker with it’s head in a pan of something eating it.
Kitchen sink full of dishes and water with fat set solid on top.
Dog in back yard wants my blood so can’t open the door for air.
Then there was the washing machine.
Next to the cooker, covered in grease full of brown water to the top of the door and a load of dirty nappies.
    Customer says “It wont spin,been like that a week” 😯 😯 😯
At this point I can feel my breakfast talking to me and I make a dash for the front door trying not to breathe in the process and closely followed by the customer.
How sweet the air outside tasted.
What about the washer says the customer it’s still under guarantee!
Call us again when you’ve cleaned the mess up says I and went home to get changed
    We never got the call!

I suppose I could write a book, but then so could we all

Went to a 15 year old Bosch Dishwasher a couple of years back which was tripping the electrics. Tipped it back at 45 degrees only for a large tail to appear belonging to a big old squirrel, luckily a dead one. Thank god he got a new dishwasher getting me out of removing our furry friend. However I did give him a lift out into his garage with D/W and squirrel firmly in place so he could once more breath in his kitchen.

Not the worst job by any means, but not nice.Called to see Bosch d/w not heating, whilst looking at m/c a dog runs through door barking and growling like mad,i s**t myself and told customer “will you please remove the dog”,heater was then orderd and Gegsy went back to fit, whilst in mid repair the dog came back for more and bit him on the arm,not one to back down Gegsy then punched the dog square in the jaw,he then ran off (the dog i mean).Customer promtly took the dog for a walk(or to the vets)
