zan WD no dry

hi,

customer has had a look at this one himself and phoned up for a quote.
before i go out can any one advise on any common faults please.
he seems to know what he’s looking at.
continuity of elements is OK, drum turning Ok,pump OK ,solenoid valve OK.
but, there is no voltage to the blower motor, is this likely to be a control module fault?

typical customer

it takes up to 5 minutes before the fan has any kind of supply

check condenser valve, clean out condenser

if hes had no fault codes, condensers likely to be blocked

Good Lord! I could write a book!

Inlet Valve coil O/c is commonplace, as is clogged up condenser ducting, as is faulty Dryer NTC, as is TOC’s tripping out…..and so on!

Just get in there, tell him to clear off and give you space to dig in and have a shufty yourself. 😉

No error codes mentioned I see?….pity, that might have helped? :rolls:

yer, in fact, the customers so good, he doesnt know whats wrong with it

u should bare in mind he could have done ANYTHING to that machine, ie. took wires of and put em back on wrong, etc

and just remind him that live testing is dangerous, and could introduce further problems

he must have, or he wouldnt know there was no supply

customers… their own worst enemy, and self fixers who cant fix are worse

i think i’ll just go and fault find for myself,and ignore what he tells me,try and go when he’s out and his wife is there instead sounds like a plan
