ParticipantHi.
I have a service call for a Zanussi ZJD1219 Washerdryer thats not drying and giving E10 fault code. It is washing ok.The dryer system is totaly dead. I have checked stats , heat fuses , solonoids, fan motor and element. Am I right in thinking that the only thing left is the board thats at fault.
Thanks in advance

There’s some of these modern Zanussis which have a faulty drier solenoid coil which goes open circuit when it warms up a bit. (Reads OK when cold). It’s been discussed on here before. Costs nothing to try in a coil.

I have tried changing the coil only before and still had the same fault E10 best to change the triple valve then no recall. 😀
Should be part number 1249472117

Participantits not unusual for the coil to be faulty, but it could also be a blocked condenser or even a faulty pump.. some of the earlier pumps had a t.o.c on the pump, and they were notorious for cutting out when they run dry for extended periods
stick a full coil on, unblock the condenser and a pump base – one happy customer

To check before replacing valve take the lid off and check condensor and look along the back plastic pipe for water flow. Go call helo_75 😀

ParticipantSorry for not getting back here sooner. I called on Monday. The drum was rotating ok. I replaced the solonoid coil as I didnt have the triple valve in stock and BINGO dryer works. Happy customer. That saves me the embarrasment of getting a board and then finding the same fault again. Thank you guys for your help.
