    Hi Folks
Got this one the other day, Customer complaianing of Intermitant Pump prob.. stripped and checked pump/filter – ok – sounds ok but suspect usual sticking Ascoll pump prob…

Am ordering gen. pump but just out of interest.. on these electronic m/c, pump connections and amp rating slightly different to standard Ascoll pump… (think they are about 0.5amp lower)… Am I safe in fitting standard pump (keep them on van) as connections only push on or will the extra amp take the board?..

Also anyone had the module cause an intermitant pump prob?

    Thanks guys.. 🙂

if this is the twist fit pump make sure that it has a TOC fitted this will protect the board. some pattern ones dont!

Unlikely, unless there is a bad connection on the edge connector or a dry joint on the little triac. Most of the pump triacs used are rated at 0.8A and Pumps are around 30/35W or around 0.2A so there is plenty of spare current available.
