Zanusi ZWF1621W Sticks on last rinse

The above machine goes through the wash and sticks on final rinse full of water.
Rinse hold is not selected.
The Start/Pause button flashes continually (no pauses).
No other lights are on or flashing.
To restart the machine it has to be turned to ‘0’ and then set on spin.
A wash that should take in the region of 90 minutes is taking about 150 minutes.
There is no earth fault and the element tests OK.
I have run through the test sequence without any problems.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is it taking the conditioner. Could be that valve

The machine is taking the fabric conditioner.
The valve worked when I went through the test sequence.
