Zanussi 1020w stoped Spining

Hi hope you can shed some light no this problem, This machine is 7years old and served my well I have recently replaced the drum bearings and drum spider and seals 2 months on the motor has seemed to give up. This is what happens when you put in a load and start a program the machine fills and clicks as it’s going to start it’s program and goes no further, also tried a spin cycle but dose the same I have had the back off and the belt is still on I have looked on the net for info on this and sounds like the brushes are gone on the motor my problem is do I get a new motor for £128 and replace it but how long will that last or bite the bullet and get a new machine for £280 ???????????

Just check the brushes,no need to change the motor.
