    Hello there, HELP please!

I have had these two items for just over a year, and between them all my clothes are shrinking!! The Aquacycle 1400 seems to take forever to do a wash – nearly 2 hours for a Daily 40 degree cycle. Is there a problem?? Is this the cause of my shrinking pants? Or perhaps it’s washing too hot?

The dryer also takes forever to dry irems of clothing, but this is the first condenser I’ve had, so perhaps they just take longer anyway. But drying clothing for two hours can’t be helping…..

    Any suggestions gratefully received!!

    Steve,

It does sound a little odd that your machine shrinks clothing at just 40 degrees. Todays electronic controlled Zanussi, like so many of its counterparts, does take much longer to complete a wash cyle than earlier machines though 🙁 (Indesit and Bosch machines even longer sometimes)

Condensor dryers however, (unless yours is ‘electronic controlled, which I don’t believe it is) then one has to pay careful attention to the User Instruction Book otherwise you could ‘Cook your undies’ 😆 Timing and heat setting must be carefully monitored 😉

You are feeding the washing machine with a cold water supply are you and haven’t got the hot/cold hoses mixed up???? Otherwise get someone to check your washing machine out and exercise caution with your dryer I reckon

My aquacycle (FLE1115W 1100 spin) takes about two hours to complete a wash. It is cold fill only and the time sounds about right. A 95 degree wash is even longer. Check the door glass during the 40 degree wash. It should just be warm.

Thanks guys, for your help and reassurance.

The washing machine is plumbed in right, and obviously the long cycles are normal, so my problem lies in the drier! I’ll be more careful about how I use it in the future.

    Cheers,

    Steve
