    Hi all

My tumble dryer drum stopped rotating so I watched a YT video and removed the top and side. I have found the spring that holds the motor loose on the floor of the dryer and the pulley wheel was off.

I’ve ordered a new belt hoping it is that but could it be the pulley wheel too AND the pulley wheel just slips on and off the metal rod. There is nothing to keep it in place> is there supposed to be something on the end of the pulley wheel to stop it rolling off?

    Thanks Li

provided the pulley wheel is not damaged in any way and the bearing is not worn it will sit in place and float to the correct position. The grooves on the motor shaft keep the belt in place
