Freezer is cool but not freezing – the child-lock got caught in the door, leaving it partly open overnight and it subsequently defrosted (all food now in bin as a result! 🙁 ). But after another night it now won’t freeze again, fan is working and fridge is cool and working as usual. Any ideas?

because the evaporator would have been choked with ice.. since the door had been left open, the appliance would have been trying to bring the whole room down to temperature, by freezing all moisture

then the fan would be unable to circulate because it was blocked in the vent

    common problem that

ha, i never said it was ur fault

freezer doors can be left open for a variety of different reasons – obstructions, faulty hinge/seal, etc

things like this do happen cos we’re human

hope your fridge freezer is working fine now
