    Good afternoon,

Firstly hello to all from a newbie 🙂

I’ve a FC1100 (914010014) washing machine whose bearings (front & back) are in need of changing.

Can anybody advise whether this is job to be taken on by someone with no WM DIY knowledge or perhaps best left to an engineer or worse still a purchase of a new one 😡

    Appreciate any direction.

Most definitely not a simple DIY job, complete outer/inner drum removal. Cost really depends on how long it has been noisy. The longer you leave it the more chance of the drum shaft becoming damaged leading to far greater expense. A local independent engineer would be my advice. A reputable one will tell you if it is BER. ( Beyond economic repair)

Try our repairs@ system to see if we have someone in your area.

    Jim.

Thanks for the reply there iadom. Much appreciated.
Think I may consign this inherited WM to scrap.
