what is the correct resistance betwwen the timer motor wires expected?
I have measured 9.5 Kohm with all other wiring disconnected, i beleve this is the wrong resistance and the timer is faulty (does not complete cycle and sticks)

    Please can anyone confirm this?

    thanks

You’re probably looking at the wrong part of the machine for the fault. Timer motors virtually never fail.

The resistance that you quoted is about right.

The timer only advances when it is allowed to by other components in the machine. eg thermostats, fill switches, timer contacts etc.

If the timer is sticking in two places on the dial then suspect a heating/thermostat problem. If it sticks in numerous places then suspect a fill problem.

Remember to always disconnect from the mains supply before any investigation. Remember also that dishwasher panels have notoriously sharp edges.
